European Heritage Days 2025 at Pacy-sur-Eure Station

The European Heritage Days are an annual event that allows the public to discover and reconnect with the architectural, historical, and industrial heritage of their region through visits, exhibitions, and activities.

In 2024, the European Heritage Days will take place on Saturday, September 20, and Sunday, September 21.

On this occasion, the Chemin de Fer de la Vallée de l'Eure opens its doors to allow you to dive into the railway history of the region.

Here is an overview of the activities offered during this unmissable event.

All proceeds from the activities during the European Heritage Days are exclusively dedicated to the restoration work of the various equipment at the station.

 


Activities and Visits

 

Guided tour on a historic train

 

Departure at 11h00 et 14h30 - 1h tour
Embark on a one-hour journey through the Eure Valley aboard vintage trains. You will discover the history of the railway on a section of the former Rouen-Orleans line, with commentary on the landscapes and Norman villages.

Shunter Driving Experience

 

From 10h to 17h30 - Duration 10 min
From 10 years
For a unique experience, climb aboard an authentic shunting locomotive. During 10 minutes, you will be guided to understand how this machine operates and even get the chance to drive it for a few hundred meters. This activity is open to participants aged 10 and above and offers an excellent introduction to the world of railway traction.
